Students are required to bring a valid photo ID along with their Kaplan user ID and password on the day of testing.

The Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam is designed to assess the academic preparedness of entry-level nursing students. Applicants are evaluated across four core content areas. The Reading section measures skills in paragraph comprehension, passage comprehension, and understanding informational sources. The Math section evaluates knowledge of algebraic applications, numbers and operations, measurement, and data interpretation. The biology section focuses on scientific reasoning, life sciences, and human body systems. The Vocabulary section assesses spelling and word meanings in context. Composite scores are calculated for each of these four areas: Reading, Math, Biology, and Vocabulary.

The exam is a standardized, timed, multiple-choice computerized test, and students should plan to allow approximately three hours to complete it.
